above is an aerial photo (by Kate Neville of macbiephotography.co.uk) of the north end of Roamers Wood, recently planted with trees, showing the circle of the tree alphabet (as in April 2023 with its thirteen mounds representing the thirteen consonants). below is closer in to the circle, showing the current display boards, with their mounds being planted with wild flowers
The hope is to create a series of angled stands, larger than the current ones and four feet wide (1200mm), on which are held the poems and images on boards and slates that provide relevant tree lore and information. The taller standing uprights will allow children (and others) to pin their own slates with artwork related to the trees, which combination should provide the means for fuller appreciation of trees and their lore. And we hope to add sound, so the poems can be heard in gaelic and english.
